Lying for a Living is a novel about a top notch barber who is also a preacher and womanizer. Pierce Thurgood II loves women and enjoys playing with their emotions as he uses them for personal gain, while selling them pipe dreams. He plays three completely dissimilar types of women in a tangled web of deceit, promising each one his hand in marriage, Milam Marshall, Monet Sinclair, and Faith Richards. The whole time he’s committing adultery because he’s already married to Connie Thurgood.
